English Debate event organised by the ABS

La participación en eventos como el English Debate organizado por la ABS contribuye enormemente al desarrollo integral de nuestros estudiantes. Esta experiencia no solo mejora sus habilidades académicas, particularmente en el uso del inglés, sino que también fomenta el pensamiento crítico, la capacidad de argumentación y el trabajo en equipo.

For the first time OC participated in the English debate event of the British Schools of Chile Association. The event took place at Trebulco School. Our dear 10th grade students, Emiliana Hung and Violeta Hamilton,and Javiera García from Junior class, participated in teams with other ABSCH schools, debating in favor or against 2 topics: regulation and supervision of schools in the use of social media, and whether international organizations such as the UN or NATO have a moral duty to intervene against totalitarian regimes.
It was an excellent opportunity to showcase different academic English skills and to work collaboratively with students from different schools of Santiago, Viña del Mar, and Concepción.
